BUTTERFLY KISSES

Hey there, you're probably already aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but did you know that Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) is teaming up with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, for their second annual card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer?  The stamping campaign is called "Hope You Can Cling To" and I'm thrilled to participate this year!  You can find information in the SCS forum if you are interested in participating.  Beate's challenge...to help friends and family members by encircling them with our love and support by making circle cards.  Oh yeah, and it has to have pink somewhere on the card.

This card uses four sizes of Spellbinders dies.  The stamp set I chose is called Butterfly Kisses from Our Craft Lounge.  Two butterflies were stamped on white card stock, colored with Copic markers, cut out, glued together and set aside.  The dandelions were stamped on the smallest circle in black ink then colored with Copic markers.

With the paper still in the die, yellow ink was sponged in the center and pink along the edges.  Stickles were applied to both dandelions, the sentiment was stamped on a small tag, the butterfly was popped up on foam and a button with twine bow completes the card.  I guess that's it.  Now I just need to make a square envelope to go with it and start a care package to send to the hospital!

Copic coloring:

Dandelions:  Y26, Y23, Y21, Y00, Y000, Y0000, YG91, YG93  Butterfly:  RV23, RV21, RV02, RV00, RV000, Y21, Y000, Y0000, N4, N3
