LOVE BEGINS IN A MOMENT

Hey there, I'm popping in with this week's Stamping Bella sketch challenge.  I love a good sketch, don't you?  I used Jack and Ginger by Mo Manning...aren't they absolutely precious?  As sweet as they are, the sentiment that comes with this set and is stamped on the inside is even better!  "Love begins in a moment, grows over time, and lasts for eternity. ~author unknown".  Awesome, right!?!

Jack and Ginger were stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White before being colored with Copic markers.  Ginger's skirt was paper pieced and also colored with Copics.  A die cut cloud completes the sketch.  This also fits in the Simon Says Stamp Love Fest Challenge, Die Crazy, over at Splitcoaststampers.

THANKS

Hey there, my mom recently had a lung biopsy and I wanted to give a couple of the nurses thank you cards.  They were wonderful, and I really appreciate how they went above and beyond to keep her comfortable.  These sweet birds are For the Birds from Tiddly Inks.  They're so cute and colored up pretty quick!

The challenge right now over on the Tiddly Inks blog is Primary Colorsso I pulled out my red, blue and yellow markers and thought I would play along.  The sketch, #125, is from Freshly Made Sketches.  Clean and simple...love it!  This card also fits into a couple of the challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers right now:  The Cat's Pajamas, TCP Inspiration Challenge (bird houses = birds), and the Fan Club's Central Theme, You Raise Me Up (birds fly).

KITTY FLIP ITS

Hey there, Cami and I got together for a play day.  She's been gaga for these flip it dies for a while, and I had to see what all the fuss was about!  OK, I have to admit...they were pretty cool and I even bought one of the dies so I can make my own flip it cards!  We had so much fun, we thought we would make it a class at Memories of Time.  It will be this Saturday if you're interested.  You can sign up online, or call/stop by and Cami can help you get signed up.  Sit back and relax, I've got a lot of pictures to share with you!

We'll be making a set of four Sizzix flip it cards and the box to hold them in.  The little kitties are a set of Whimsey/Wee Stamps and they are adorable!

Here's a better picture of all of the cards.  Cute, huh?  Love that new paper...it's from Pebbles and this is the baby girl line.  The boy line is as cute as the girls and both can be used for so many other projects than just baby!  As you can see, we played with a lot of different dies in these cards!

Here's the matching box.  Yep, that perfect bow was made on the Bow-it-All which I will demonstrate for you.

Ack...love that gingham paper!  We'll do a little Copic coloring and even some paper piecing...check it out!

Here's the inside when it's flipped open.  We left a little space for your personalized greeting!

And here's the rest of the cards...

This project also fits into the Perfect Paper Crafting Love Fest Challenge, Lots of Lovely Layers, over at Splitcoaststampers.

APRIL SHOWERS

Hey there, it's time for Stamping Bella's Bellariffic Friday challenge, washi tape or ribbon.  I used Uptown Girl Lolly and her Brolly stamp with some washi tape.  I shared last week that I was a washi tape collector, but not a washi tape user. I finally used some, so now I know first hand that it's awesome stuff!  Check it out...I made a designer button too just by covering it with washi tape.  How cool is that!?!

Hey there, I'm excited to show you a sneak peek of one of the new Stamping Bella Uptown Girls...meet Beatrice and Barbara.  Aren't they adorable?  Because of the size of the stamp, I was able to keep my design CAS (clean and simple).  The color choices were selected based on a scrap of ribbon I had in my stash.  Love the pinks and reds together!

NOT FEELING BEARY GOOD?

Hey there, I've been eyeballing these adorable Benton Bear stamps from Inky Antics.  They've been sitting in the corner of Memories of Time and I finally broke down and bought them.  I'm glad I did because Recovering Benton is the perfect stamp for my hubby's coworker's wife (did you follow that?  *grin*) who is having surgery in a couple days.  We wanted to let her know we were thinking of her.  The inside sentiment, also from this set, is "hope you get well soon".

Benton was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  It's the perfect size stamp and OMGosh, it colored up so quick!  Clear glaze pen was put on Benton's nose for a subtle shine.  The layout is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #207...LOVE!  I also played along in A Gem of a Challenge's #113 Spots and Stripes and SCS's Love Fest challenge, Puppy Love (to share a warm, cuddly critter).

MRS. COTTONTAIL TREAT BAG

Hey there, I'm back with another SCS Love Fest project.  This one is sponsored by Taylored Expressions.  Their challenge is Doodle-Do.  Taylor wanted us to create a project with a doodled something on it.  I confess...I'm not a doodler!  I thought this was going to be a tough one, until I remembered the Sack it - Bunny die that I purchased but hadn't done anything with.  My thought was to create a girl bunny with a doodled flower by her ear.  That counts, right!?!

All of the elements, sack and bunny, were cut from Neenah Solar White card stock.  The bag was assembled then set aside.  The pieces to the bunny were colored with Copic markers and a second set of ears and feet were adhered to the backs to hide my coloring and give a little extra stability. After the ears were adhered, they were shaped with my fingers to add a little curve.  I knew I wanted to make a girl bunny, so I die cut a couple extra whiskers and cut them down to size to use for the eye lashes.  Clever, huh?  They were adhered to the back of the eyes then shaped with my fingers and then a stylus to give that nice curve.  The nose was glued directly to the muzzle then Sakura Clear Glaze pen was put over the top for a nice, subtle shine.  The muzzle was popped up on thin foam while the feet were popped up on regular foam for a little difference in dimension.  The flower, the whole point of the project, was doodled on the edges with a Copic Multiliner pen, colored, shaped then popped up on foam.  The Sparklet center was colored with RV42 to match the bunny.

Oh, one last thing...the reason I titled my post Mrs. Cottontail...yep, that's a real cotton ball cut in half!  *grin*

SENDING YOU LOVE

Hey there, I'm supposed to be prepping for my class this afternoon, but I couldn't resist playing along in Splitcoaststampers Love Fest challenge.  The first challenge, Puppy Love, is sponsored by SCS.  Tilly, from Wild Rose Studio, is all about spreading the love!

I have a confession...just as I was putting the finishing touches on the card, I put a red fingerprint on the card base.  D'oh!  It wasn't in a location that I could hide it with a well placed embellishment, sooo...Plan B...fussy cutting and foam squares!  I know I'm not alone.  Who else has done that?  Fess up...I want details!  *snort*

EASTER BLESSINGS

Hey there, happy Friday!  I finally get to share my project for today's Stamping Bella sketch challenge.  I had SO much fun making this!  Bunny was a blast to color, and although the basket was a little time consuming...I wouldn't change it a bit!

Bunny was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then cut using the Out-of-the-Box technique.  I didn't take it too far out...just a touch on one side before she was colored with Copic markers.  The Easter egg has a clear Wink of Stella pen on it for a subtle shimmer.  The clouds were sponged directly onto the card base then the fence and grass die cuts were colored with Copics and layered over it.  The image panel was popped up on foam as were the button brads in the corner.  I really love this week's Stamping Bella sketch!

The little Easter basket is actually My Favorite Thing's Picnic Basket that was colored in fun, springy colors to match the Easter egg that Bunny is holding.  Both sides of the basket were colored.  I thought about only coloring one side...but I'm glad I did both.  So cute!  A simple rectangle, that was scored on a Scor-Pal, was used to make the center of the box.  The same grass die cuts and button brads were used to tie it together with the card.

Next week's Bellariffic Fridays challenge is to use Washi tape or ribbon on your project.  Email your card to Em by Thursday, February 20, to be included on Bloggabella...you could win some Bella Bucks, but you have to use a current stamp!  I have to admit, I'm a Washi Tape collector...I buy it but never use it.  I'm determined to finally use some...who knows, I may love it!  Won't know until I try, right?!?  I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

HAPPY EASTER

Hey there, I thought I would pop in before I head to my class and share a card made with Whimsy/Wee Stamps Easter Bunny.  It's such an adorable image!

The image was stamped three times with Tuxedo Black.  The first one was cut using the Out-of-the-Box with a Nestie technique, colored with Copic markers then set aside.  The chick/egg and bunny's foot on the second image were colored, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  The third image only the bow was colored, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  Love the dimension of this card!  The layout is an older Sweet Sunday Sketch (#200), and I broke out my Bow-it-All to make the perfect little bow!  The flower centers and the paintbrush have Spica Melon pen for a touch of glitter.
