HE'S HERE! AND BLOG CANDY WINNER

Hey there, we were talking during my last MOT (Memories of Time) class when I realized I haven't colored a Santa in a while, so I broke out Chimney of Toys from Whipper Snapper Designs.  I picked up three really cool Santa stamps in my last WSD order.  I might have to ink up the others just because.  *grin*  Before I get into the card details...I have a winner to announce!  And the winner (random draw) is...Sara Rosamond!  Congrats, Sara!  Email me with your address and I'll get the die out in the mail.

Now, about the card.  It was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copics markers.  Gotta love a CAS layout this time of year, huh?  I seriously LOVE the way the bricks turned out!  I can't take credit though.  I would have never in a million years came up with that color scheme!  The credit actually belongs to Jennifer Dove.  You've probably seen her "Color of the Day" all over Pinterest.  Well, one of the colors was "brick", so I figured I would give it a try...really happy with the results!

PENGUIN LOVE

Hey there, I colored up another of my new stamps from Whimsy.  This cutie pie is called Penguin Chocolate Surprise...Crissy Armstrong did an amazing job of illustrating it!

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  The "dingle berries" on the end of the scarf were a little bit of a challenge to cut out, but I'm happy to say they all made it!  *grin*  The sketch is Freshly Made Sketches #113.  Love the simple layout...I'll definitely use this one again!

FALL FAIRY AND BLOG CANDY

Hey there, it's been a Friday play day for me...woot!  I dug out one of my new stamps from Whimsy/Wee Stamps called Silver Fairy.  What a beautiful image!  I colored her up in fall colors today.  Confession time...I bought the MFT Sunflower die yesterday and when I got it home, I realized I already had it!  D'oh!  So, instead of taking it back, I've decided to offer it as a little blog candy.  Do you have it already?  Are you interested in winning it?  All you have to do is become a follower of my blog (if you aren't already) and leave a comment on this post.  Want an extra entry?  Follow me on Facebook and leave a comment on my One Happy Stamper page.  I'll draw a winner on Monday...good luck!

The fairy was stamped with Tuxedo Black on Neenah card stock then cut out using the out-of-the-box with a Nestie technique.  It's a really cool technique and you can find a great tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.  The sunflower was die cut, colored with Copic markers, shaped on a soft mat with a stylus then Glossy Accents was put on the flower's center.  That used to be one of my favorite products, and it's been forever since I used it.  I forgot how long it takes to dry...sheesh!  The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #197.  LOVE Karen's layouts!  I'm also entering this into the CMC Anything Goes #82 challenge.

BABY'S 1ST CHRISTMAS

Hey there, I haven't posted anything in a while, and I saw a couple of fun challenges that I wanted to play along in.  This is what I came up with...isn't this Mo Manning image adorable?  I just want to reach out and pinch those pudgy, little cheeks!  *grin*

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah card stock then colored with Copic markers.  Because of the size of the image, I went with a super easy layout.  The Sparklet was colored with V95, attached to the snowflake then popped up on foam.  Super easy card...love the results!

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

Hey there, I woke up this morning while having a really weird dream.  Uh, yeah...not going back to sleep after that!  So what better way to start my morning, besides at 2:30am, than to break out the Copics!  I've decided to play along in a few challenges...the first one is Misti's VSN challenge, Warm Hugs.  Misti provided an awesome inspiration photo that I pulled colors from, and the layout is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #196.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog's challenge is Anything Goes with a Sassy Cheryl Image, and also Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday.  I bought a bunch of Cheryl's digis a while ago, but have never colored any of them...until now!  Time to dig out the others!  *grin*  The digi image and sentiment were printed out on Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  Isn't she the sweetest?

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Hey there, I thought I would pop in tonight and share a card I made following this week's sketch from My Favorite Things, MFTWSC148.  So fun!  OK...tell the truth...does my little girl look like she's wearing fabric from a '70s couch?  *snort*

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah then colored with Copic markers.  The layers were die cut with Circle Stax 1 and 2 while the sentiment was cut with the Fishtail Flag Stax.  The cute little holly leaves are cut from the Christmas Ornaments die.  The girl's jacket and hat brim were paper pieced then colored with Copic markers to add in the shadows.

THE PERFECT PERCH

Hey there, guess what time it is!  It's Virtual Stamp Night through Splitcoaststampers!  That's right, SCS is kicking off the mini VSN tonight with a couple challenges.  First up, yours truly!  The overall theme is "Up to Snow Good" and my challenge, Let it Snow-Man!  It's pretty easy really, just include a snowman on your project.  I know you all have at least one snowman stamp laying around, so blow the dust off and get inking!  Let's see what ya got!  Oh...the best part...you have an entire week to play along!  Whoop!

The snow-filled sky was created by using a toothbrush to sprinkle masking fluid onto card stock then after it dried, sponging it with London Fog and Tuxedo Black.  That awesome frame is a My Favorite Things die and it looks AMAZING colored with Copics!  The snowman and bird stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs and it colors up super fast!  They were fussy cut, adhered to the frame then popped up on foam.  I wish I could show you the inspiration for this card...a tole painted snowman that I found on Pinterest.  I thought I pinned it to share, but do you think I could find it when I wanted to?  Not so much!  Ugh!  You'll just have to trust me that the grays with a pop of red was stunning!

COPIC COLORING:
SNOWMAN:  BG70, BV20. 0  CARROT NOSE:  YR18, YR15, YR00  SCARF:  C3, C1, C00, R56, R46, R43  BUTTON:  C3, C1, C00  BIRD:  R56, R46, R43  FRAME:  R56, R46, R43
