Happy Saturday everyone! Before we get started, I have some exciting news to share. I was invited to be an Our Craft Lounge Guest Designer for the next couple of months. Woohoo! I'm very excited to work with these talented ladies!
Are you ready for a chance to win an OCL stamp set of your choice (details on the OCL blog)? Grab your favorite OCL stamps and play along! This week's layout was actually made as a scrapbook page. It takes a certain kind of talent to scrapbook...and well, that's just not me. Ha! I like to relax when I craft, and scrapbooking just gets me all knotted up inside. Kudos to all of you scrapbookers out there that make it look easy! So, with that said, I made mine into a card. Feel free to use the layout as a scrapbook page or card, but just don't forget to link it to the OCL blog!
I'm using the Bountiful Harvest set that I won during the last release blog hop. Who doesn't love free stamps, right!?! I started by stamping my images with Black Soot on Neenah CS and colored them with Copic markers. I'm sooo glad I took Cami and Kisa's (OCL) class at our local scrapbooking store. They taught us all about "Ts" and how to use them. Toner Grays aren't just another gray...they add so much interest to your Copic coloring by adding shadows and dimension. If you have them and haven't used them, dig them out and give them a try! If you don't have them, you might think about getting a few...you won't be disappointed.
The apples/basket and sentiment were cut out using Spellbinders dies. Don't you just love that sentiment? I think this would make an awesome belated fall birthday card! The DP is My Mind's Eye and the layers are Early Espresso. I punched coordinating DP with a photo corner punch, added ribbon and a brad. The photo corner and apples are popped up on Dimensionals.
Copic coloring:
Tractor: R08, R05, R02, T5, T4, T3, T2, T1, T0 Grass: YG95, YG91, YG45, G20 Sky: B10, 0 Apples and basket: R08, R05, R02, YG45, E37, E34, E33
After a conversation with some friends yesterday, I decided to see what challenges I could find online. I had no idea there were so many challenges going on! Wowsers!!! I actually found a few that I could enter my card in:
Craft Your Days Away ~ 1 circle, 2 DPs & 3 ribbons
2 Sisters Challenge ~ Anything Goes
Mark's Finest Paper ~ Die cuts or a punch
