Follow Along...

I'm on a roll!  A project today...heck, I'll have to see about posting another one tomorrow just because!  LOL!  It's a stormy day here on the Oregon Coast so I might as well be inside creating stuff, right?  The challenge over at The Lounge this week is to use bling so I'm back with another blinged out project.  Did you know you could win an Our Craft Lounge stamp set of your choice if you play along in the challenges?  Click on the word "challenge" above for all of the details.  I also decided to use the Mojo Monday sketch...only I had to switch sides with it.  I used the GORGEOUS new Bo Bunny designer paper and wasn't really thinking it out too clearly when I cut the paper.  If I would have used the sketch as it was, the words on the DP would have been sideways.  I couldn't have that, now could I?  So I switched it and all is right again.  Whew!

I started by stamping a flower from the OCL set, Fabulous Florals, four times on Neenah card stock using Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Each flower was colored with Copic markers, the different layers were cut out then shaped with a Punch Bunch Tool Kit.  Glue Dots adhere the layers and a rhinestone is the flower's center.  Three Spellbinders dies were used to cut out the circles and the Neenah layer was lightly sponged with Sage Shadow while it was still in the die.  I just love the sentiment, "The earth laughs in flowers"!  It is also from an OCL set called Say it with Flowers and it is all about sentiments!  The swirls are from a Magnolia Doohickey die and rhinestones from my stash were used to make a few extra blinged out swirls.  An EK Success punch was used on a few of the back ground layers.  I guess that's it for this one!

Copic coloring:

Flower:  R02, R01, R00  Leaves:  BG72, YG45, YG41

What a gorgeous card! I admire crafters like you that make a sentiment the focal point of a card and in such a beautiful way. Your flower is very pretty too. Thanks for playing in the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge this week. I do hope you'll return to more of our challenges.
