Hey there, I recently purchased some digital images from Tiddly Inks and I couldn't wait to color this little cutie. She was printed on Neenah, colored with Copic markers then cut using the Out-of-the-Box with a Nestie technique. Her hands were printed a second time, fussy cut then adhered to the popped up banner. The bow was paper pieced and colored with Copics for a little extra depth (kinda hard to see on the brown paper). The gorgeous fall paper is from Doodlebug Designs...you'll be seeing it again really soon! *wink*

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS SEPTEMBER STUDIO CHALLENGE
Hey there, it's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge (a monthly opportunity for the DT to share what makes our stamping studios hum...each month we're asked a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorite products, tips/tricks, stamping advice and more).
The question for September is:
We’re continuing our month-long TE Birthday Bash celebration with a special birthday-inspired Studio Challenge! Sometimes all we need to help us create is to simply see something that is beautiful, cool, or unique. Did you know that Taylored Expressions has over 30 boards on Pinterest filled with crafty eye-candy? We’d love to have you follow us at http://pinterest.com/tayloredexpress.
Today’s challenge: choose a photo from Taylor’s Birthday Inspiration Pinterest Board to inspire a stamped creation!
There are some awesome inspirational pictures to choose from in the birthday board. I absolutely love everything about this one...so I didn't change much about it.
Here's my version...
I die cut the mason jar, cut the handle off to mimic the inspiration photo then colored it with Copic markers without stamping it to give it a softer look. The lemon and straw were stamped with Tuxedo Black after it was stamped off several times. The My Mind's Eye paper was perfect!
COPIC COLORING:
JAR: BG72, BG70, 0 LEMON: Y15, Y11, Y00, Y000, Y0000 STRAW: R00, R000, R0000, C1, C00, 0
SUPPLIES:
STAMPS: TE Hey Sweet Tea
PAPER: Neenah Solar White (aka Bazzill Coconut Swirl Smoothies); Bazzill Cinder Monochromatic; My Mind's Eye

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS SHARE JOY CAMPAIGN: INSPIRATION CHALLENGE WEEK
Hey there, the Taylored Expressions 5th Birthday Bash is continuing this week with a new Share Joy Campaign, benefiting the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles, Prodigal's Home of Phoenix and Iowa Homeless Youth Shelter of Des Moines. These wonderful charities work tirelessly to bring comfort and care to many homeless individuals and families throughout the year. One way they are sharing joy each and every day is by celebrating the birthdays of their participants, and you can help by sending in your handmade birthday cards!
This week, TE will help you to create with a different Birthday Inspiration Challenge each day. These charities need birthday cards of all kinds: child, adult and baby...so send in your funny, sweet, pretty or elegant works of art, and know that you will be brightening someone's day in a way only a handmade card can do. For details on how to participate, please hop over to the Taylored Expressions Blog.
Today's challenge hostess is Charmaine and she wants us to do a Dry Emboss Brayering Technique. It sounds way harder than it really is...especially since she created this awesome video to make it easy peasy for us!
In addition to the Dry Emboss Brayering technique, I also wanted to use the Ombre Technique (to have a gradient of color...light to dark), and the Chalkboard Technique on the sentiment panel completes the card. There are several Design Team members and alumni who have samples to share for today's inspiration...head on over to Taylor's blog for the complete list.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there, as we continue the month-long Birthday Bash at Taylored Expressions, we have some fun birthday gifts to give. Each of the designers on today's hop will be giving away the card they are showcasing to one lucky reader. If you like the card I've made for today, simply leave a comment here on my blog before 6pm PST on Thursday, September 12, and you'll be entered into a drawing to win it! Winners will be announced on the TE blog Friday morning.

FIND JOY
Hey there, I thought I would pop in with a card I made for the VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) challenges through Splitcoaststampers. Angie's challenge, Silhouettes and Lines, is to use both a silhouette (solid) stamp and a line (open) stamp on our project. Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month, Sending Smiles, was the perfect choice!
The flower (lined) image was stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam. Layers were cut with Layering Doily Medium and Layering Doily Small. The silhouette (solid) image was stamped with Sage Shadow. All of the paper and ribbon was from the September Key Ingredients Kit, so it took all the guess work out and made for a quick, easy card!
COPIC COLORING:
