Hey there, I'm popping in this morning with a non-breast cancer awareness card. Actually, it's a non-Copic card too! Hubby was needing a thank you card for a friend of the family who happens to be an avid fisherman...in fact, he was the one that got my hubby hooked (pun intended...LOL!)
This is an easy layout and was pretty fast to make. A Nestie was cut out and with the card stock still in the die, two inks were sponged. The lighter is in the center while the darker is all the way around the outside. A sticky note was placed approximately 1/3 from the top and the darker ink was sponged to create the horizon. The image is from an Our Craft Lounge set called Fishing with Dad and was lined up with a Stamp-a-ma-jig then stamped with black ink.
A twine bow was tied to the front and an actual Salmon hook dangles from it. Between the two of them, they've caught a lot of salmon this season. The season is about over so they will spend as much of their time as possible up the river catching Steelhead. Brrr...way too cold for me! Besides, that's my crafting time! Ha! I'm not sure if that's a Salmon stamped on the inside but it sure looked like it to me. I stamped three across the top and fought the urge to break out my Copics.
I like it the way it is. Easy peasy! Oh, and that's actually Christmas paper but hubby doesn't need to know that!
Thanks for stopping by!
