PAR-FECT DAY!

Hey there, I'm back with another "Hope You Can Cling To" challenge card to support breast cancer patients and their families.  Dina's challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is "REAL Men Wear PINK".  We were to create a masculine card with pink on it somewhere.  I knew right away I wanted to break out Gramps...yep, because he's a stud and can handle pink!  Ha!  This set is from Our Craft Lounge and is called Golfin Gramps.  Gramps is HOT...just sayin'!

Since the challenge is for a masculine card, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.   Gramps was stamped on white card stock and a sticky note to use as a mask then the golf course was stamped in the background.  The whole scene was colored with Copic markers.  I have to admit, I colored Gramps and was loving him in pink, but when I started coloring the background I thought I blew it.  I don't know if you noticed, but there's a whole lot of real estate back there!  It just started looking a little on the funky side when I decided I already blew it, so I could either make a new card or just keep going with it to see if I could salvage it.  I opted for Door #2 and kept working on it.  It went from bad to worse then back to I can live with it! 

After the coloring and layering was done, it was missing something.  I decided it could use a fluffy cloud so a die was used to cut out a cloud and Sparkly Fluff was glued to it before it was popped it up on foam.  Hmmm...it was still missing something so twine was added to the bottom.  I'm not sure if that's what it needed...but that's what it got!  Violá...done!  *wink*
