TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS SPOTLIGHT: TAG POCKET

Hey there, I've got a super quick spotlight project to share with you this morning.  I'm totally loving the new Tag Pocket and created this little gift tag holder with it.  My son won't be home for Christmas this year, so I want to send him a gift card.  I know a gift card isn't necessarily that special, but we all know it's all about the presentation...am I right?

Since it is for my son, I wanted to keep it simple.  The Tag Pocket and Snowflake Cutting Plate were both cut from red card stock.  A glittery bow, cut from the Mix & Match Bows die, and a glittery brad brings interest to the project without making it too feminine.  Tag Stacklets 1 was used to cut pattern paper for the pullout tag.  An eyelet and ribbon completes the project...I hope he likes it!

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS OCTOBER SNEAK PEEKS: WE GIVE THANKS & COLOR BLOCK CUTTING PLATE

Hey there, that was an awesome first day of peeks!  I can't wait to see what the Baker's Dozen has up their sleeves for today!  Don't forget, everything you've seen over the last couple of days will be available in the Taylored Expressions store, starting tomorrow, at 7am PST.  I just love fall...the colors are amazing and I never get tired of the crispness in the air as the leaves change colors before they tumble to the ground!

This gorgeous cornucopia, from We Give Thanks, was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto white card stock, colored with Copic markers then cut using the out-of-the-box technique.  Check out that little acorn die cut...love it!  It was cut with Falling for You and was a lot of fun to color!  A stylus/soft mat was used to shape it before it was popped up on foam.  Truly the perfect embellishment, along with the burlap banner, for this fall beauty!

Do you like the layout?  It was easy with the help of Taylor's new Color Block Cutting Plate!  Seriously, there are so many possibilities with this cutting plate!  You can use the frame like I did...or use the frame and mat the images or you could just use the rectangles and scallops on their own.  Love this idea!

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS OCTOBER SNEAK PEEKS: SACK IT SNOWMAN WITH SACK IT TO YOU & BIG BOLD CHRISTMAS

Hey there, woohoo...it's time for Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks and OMGosh, wait until you see this release...it's CRAZY amazing!  Everything you see over the next couple of days will be available for purchase, at the TE store, starting at 7am PST on Thursday, October 3.  Okey-dokey then, I have two projects to share with you today.  I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to see this first die!  It's called Sack It To You and it's a little treat bag that can be customized...the best part...it comes with a BONUS Santa suit.  Woot!  Also available (each sold separately)...a super cute reindeer, a sweet little penguin...and this adorable snowman that I'm showing today.  I can't wait to make the rest of them!

Everything was die cut from white card stock then colored with Copic markers.  I didn't want the Copic coloring to show through on the back of the hat, so a second hat was cut then adhered to it before being attached to the bag.  The Poinsettia was shaped with a stylus/soft mat to give it dimension, and foam squares were placed between the layers for separation.  Clear micro beads were glued to the center before it was adhered to the flower.

This project fits the following challenges:  Totally Gorjuss, Traditional Christmas Colors; Drunken Stampers, Die Cuts and Whoopsidaisy Challenge, Anything But a Card.

COPIC COLORING:
EYES, MOUTH:  C6, C4, C2, C0  NOSE:  YR18, YR15, YR00  CHEEKS:  R30, R00, R0000, 0  SNOWMAN:  BV20, BG70  HAT:  C6, C4, C2, C0  HATBAND:  G46, G43, G40  POINSETTIA:  R59, R56, R46, R43  LEAF:  G46, G43, G40

TECHNIQUE(S):  3D
SIZE OF FINISHED PROJECT:  3 1/4" wide x 5" high x 2" deep

This next card uses the new Snowflake Cutting Plate.  Talk about a quick and easy background for holiday cards!  The sentiment panel was created with the Chalkboard Technique.  I found a new ink to use with this technique, and it worked amazingly!  The sentiment and swirl from Chalkboard Elements was stamped with Memento VersaMagic Cloud White then set it aside to dry.  While it dried, I broke out my new Bow-it-All and made that awesome bow!  By the time the bow was finished, the sentiment was dry, so I inked up my finger and rubbed the edges of the die cut.  A trio of red rhinestones complete the card.

MISS YOU ALREADY!

Hey there, I recently purchased some digital images from Tiddly Inks and I couldn't wait to color this little cutie.  She was printed on Neenah, colored with Copic markers then cut using the Out-of-the-Box with a Nestie technique.  Her hands were printed a second time, fussy cut then adhered to the popped up banner.  The bow was paper pieced and colored with Copics for a little extra depth (kinda hard to see on the brown paper).  The gorgeous fall paper is from Doodlebug Designs...you'll be seeing it again really soon!  *wink*
