JUN13VSNMINI4 - CHUCK WAGON

Hey there, woohoo...this is the last card for the Virtual Stamp Night (VSN) mini through Splitcoaststampers.  The main event will be in June.  Meredith's challenge, Hot Dog!, was to create a card with a dog image and incorporate heat embossing.  Fun challenge!  The dog image I used is Chuck Wagon from Whipper Snapper Designs.  I heat embossed the bone on the banner which is also from WSD, but I don't know the name of it.  The CAS layout is from My Favorite Things...love it!

There's still time for you to play in the VSN challenges...you have until Monday, May 06, to upload your projects.  I hope you dig out those "puppy dog stamps and heat embossing stuff" and play along with us!

JUN13VSNMINI5 - FULL SPEED AHEAD

Hey there, this card is for my Dog Days of Summer VSN challenge through Splitcoaststampers.  I challenged everyone to create a project that showcases your favorite way to BEAT THE HEAT, whether it's going to the beach, the lake, camping, indulging in your favorite beverage, cranking the air conditioning or even driving with the top down.  Whatever it is...I want to see it!  I hope you'll play along!

My card uses Whipper Snapper Designs, Full Speed Ahead, stamp set.  I've been hoping to color this one up for a while now but have never had the opportunity...until now!  Woot!  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  The headlight, windshield and girl's eyes all have clear glaze pen for a nice, subtle shine.  It doesn't show, but I'm pretty sure there's an Oregon Duck bumper sticker on the back of that car...GO DUCKS!  *grin*

JUN13VSNMINI2 - HO, HO, "OH"!

Hey there, I'm back with another Dog Days of Summer Virtual Stamp Night (VSN) challenge through Splitcoaststampers!  Whoop!  Marg is from Australia and celebrates Christmas during the summer.  Her challenge, Christmas in the Sun, is all about creating a fun, bright Christmas card (no snow) with an extra bonus of using glitter on our projects.  I thought of Surfin' Santa from Our Craft Lounge (*sniff* I miss OCL).  I colored him with Copic markers then used the CAS layout from SCS's SC432 challenge.  My card also follows the Fan Club Central Theme of Hope Floats (surf board floating on water) and the Wordplay challenge, BUOY...here's the break down:

B = Santa has mad "balancing" skillz!
U = "uber" talented surfer!
O = Ho, Ho, "OH" (careful, Santa!)
Y = "yellow" star

I hope you dig out your "tropical Christmas" stamps and play along with us!
