I {HEART} SNOW

Hey there, I know you probably don't want to see Christmas cards in April...but I bought these cute holiday stamps last year from Whipper Snapper Designs and never used them.  Michelle from my favorite store, Memories of Time, was teasing me that I always buy stamps then don't get them inky.  Hmmm...sounded like a challenge to me!  LOL!  I actually have a bunch of WSD images colored now, I just need to find time to make them into cards.  This cute little guy's name is Frappe the Snowman. He was so much fun to color!

Here's the inside...there's not a lot to it.  I added a snowflake and a scrap of pattern paper to match.

Copic coloring:

EASTER FUN

Hey there, have you noticed my poor, neglected blog lately?  *sigh*  My mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer.  It's been devastating news and has taken a tole on the family.  My blog just hasn't seemed as important lately.  I have managed to make a couple Easter cards...I need to decide which one to give her.  Out of everyone, she has enjoyed my cards the most.  At any given time, you can stop by her house and she's got a half dozen cards on display.  If she notices you admiring them, she's quick to jump up and tell you all about them.  LOL!

This first card is an Our Craft Lounge image called Pea-Nut Bunny.  I absolutely adore coloring Pea-Nut!  This is the first time inking up this stamp and it's just as fun as all the others!  Memento ink was used to sponge the Nestie and die the matching seam binding.

This is the other card that uses a Whipper Snapper image called Chick Magnet.  It's been forever since I used a stamp from a company other than OCL.  I love their stuff...they are too freakin' adorable!  I've probably got a dozen of their images on my desk all colored up waiting to be made into cards.  They were just so much fun to color!

SLOW AND STEADY BIRTHDAY

Hey there, I haven't really been in a crafty sort of mood lately.  That and we've been helping our buddy paint his rental...fun stuff, huh?  His daughter is having a birthday this weekend so I took a break to make her this card.

I used the Slow and Steady set from Our Craft Lounge.  This is one of my favorite birthday stamp sets because the turtle and bugs are too stinking cute!  The layout is from iSpy Sketches...I just found them via my friend's blog.  Thanks, Gale!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE GUY!

Hey there, my hubby's buddy is having a birthday next week so I wanted to make him a special card.  We call him the "Little Guy" or sometimes "Gilligan" (get it...Skipper's little buddy?).  Please don't think we're picking on him because of his size (he isn't even that short...just shorter than the others).  All the guys have nicknames..."Big Guy" and "Wood Shed Jeff" (maybe I'll tell you about those another day LOL!).  Dave is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor and OMGosh...he's a HUGE Oregon Duck fan (just like my hubby)!  I knew #1 Sports Fan from Our Craft Lounge would be perfect for him!

In order to customize Gramps, blue painter's tape was used to mask the #1 on his shirt before stamping.  I printed the Oregon "O" from the Duck website then used the light box a friend recently gave me to trace it.  This was my first time using a light box and I loved it!  I also drew in the rest of the "O" on his hat.  A  Copic Multiliner was used to trace over the pencil before it was erased and violá...Gramps was ready to color!  For added depth, Gramp's chair was paper pieced then shaded with Copic markers and for dimension, he was stamped twice and his legs/feet and hand/can was popped up.  Guy cards can be tough and this stamp makes it easy peasy to customize a card for any sports fan using their favorite team!  Gotta love that, right?  I have a feeling I'll be making several more Oregon Gramps cards before I'm done!  *grin*

Here's the inside (it's pretty simple but ties into the sports/birthday theme)...
