MWAHHHHHHH!

Hey there, this is the first time coloring one of the Senior-itas, from Stamping Bella, and I have to tell you, Wanda is my favorite!  Talk about character (she reminds me of one of my mom's good friends from when I was growing up)!  It's an awesome layout this week...I turned it into a window card!  Don't you love how she's peeking out to blow kisses?  Oh, and she just applied a fresh coat of lipstick (clear glaze pen) so pucker up, baby!  Ha!

Here's the inside...it's been a while, but I have a confession!  *grin*  OK, so I don't know what I was thinking...I colored the shirt with Cool Grays (see list below).  Only when I put it next to the papers I chose, I realized it was waaayyyyy off!  I had to wait until it was good and dry, then I went back over the entire shirt with Warm Grays.  Much better!  That's the beauty of Copics, if you don't like how something turned out, color over it!

I DIG YOU!

Hey there, I won this awesome set from SugarPea Designs' first release (thanks, Wendy)!  It's called Go-pher It, and I think it's adorable!  I couldn't wait to get him inky and play along in SPD's very first challenge, Anything Goes.

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  Spica pens were used on the gems for a subtle sparkle (of course it won't show up in the pictures...sheesh).  A clear glaze pen was used on the light on the hardhat, gems, gopher's nose and tooth.  The layout is Sweet Sunday Sketch #204.  LOVE Karen's sketches!

I'D PICK YOU

Hey there, I'm sooo glad it's Friday...it's been a drama-filled week, and I'm glad to say that I made it through in one piece!  Another reason I'm glad it's Friday...it's time for the Stamping Bella challenge!  Whoop!  This week's theme is "For My Friends".  Were you able to play along with us?

I had a couple images in mind for this challenge, but decided to go with Uptown Girl Pippa Loves to Plant.  Isn't she adorable!?!  I've used this layout with the die cut clouds before and thought it would be perfect with this image.  I kept it simple from the layout to the coloring.  I debated on if I wanted to color a sky behind Pippa and the more I looked at it, I decided she didn't need it.  Sometimes I just like the white, and this was one of those times!

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar white then colored with Copic markers.  The striped paper was cut to cover the card base, so when the clouds were die cut from the image panel, the stripes would show through.  Pretty clever, huh?  Gotta love Pinterest!  That's originally where I saw the idea.

COPIC COLORING:
SKIN:  E11, E01, E00, E000, E0000, R30, BV20  HAIR:  E59, E57, E55, E53  APRON, GLOVE:  R85, R83, R81  SHIRT:  NONE  SHORTS, BANDANNA:  BG75, BG72, BG70  WATERING CAN:  C3, C1, C00  SHOVEL:  R85, R83, R81, C3, C1, C00  BUTTERFLY:  R85, R81  FLOWER POTS:  YR12, YR02, YR00  PLANTS/FLOWERS:  YR30, Y02, Y00, Y000, R85, R81, BG72, BG70, YG67, YG23, YG03, YG0000  GROUND:  YG67, YG23, YG03, YG0000

Next week's Bellariffic Fridays challenge is a sketch.  Email your card to Em by Thursday, January 30, to be included on Bloggabella...you could win some Bella Bucks, but you have to use a current stamp!  I think I might break out a certain Senior-ita and make a Valentine's card.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CALORIES NEVER COUNT

Hey there, happy Friday!  I'm popping in with a project using the first Stamping Bella sketch of the year.  Were you able to play along with us?

I decided to use Uptown Girl Chanel the Chef.  She was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  I have to tell you, I've always fussy cut with scissors...but I found a new cutting plate I decided to try.  It's from Slice MakingMemories.  It's the coolest thing!  Glass on one side and a nice, thick foam pad on the other (both sides have non-stick gripper feet, so it won't slide around on my desk).  I was able to use an X-Acto knife on the glass side to cut Chanel out, lickety split!  The foam side is going to be excellent for shaping die cut flowers!  So stoked!  *grin*  The sentiment from Isabelle Loves her Ice Cream completes the card.

COPIC COLORING:
SKIN:  E11, E01, E00, E000, E0000, BV20, R30  HAIR:  Y17, Y15, Y11, Y00  DRESS, SHOES:  G24, G21, G20  HAT, APRON:  RV91, RV11, RV00, RV0000, R35, R32, R30, R000  BOWL:  BG01, BG000, BG0000  WOODEN SPOON:  E35, E34, E33  CAKE BATTER:  E57, E55, E53  MEASURING SPOONS:  C2, C0

RUBY

Hey there, I'm back with the second Memories of Time class for the gals that are coming from out of the area.  This time I've used Ruby from Whimsy/Wee Stamps.  Isn't she adorable?

She was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  The layout is Freshly Made Sketches #118...clean and simple...love it!  The flower is a My Favorite Things die that was cut from Neenah, colored with Copics then shaped with a stylus and soft mat.

I'M NUTS ABOUT YOU

Hey there, with Christmas behind us, it's time to start thinking about those Valentines!  This super sweet squirrel is from Whipper Snapper Designs and makes a perfect Valentine!  I've got a group of ladies coming in from out of town to take a couple classes with me down at Memories of Time...this will be the first class.  It's going to be so much fun!

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  The squirrel's nose has Sakura Clear Glaze pen for a nice, subtle shine.  I haven't used my glaze pen for a while, so it was fun digging it back out again!  The sentiment was computer generated and also colored with Copics.  The heart is a My Favorite Things die that was sponged, embossed then colored with Copics to darken the shadows...looks a little like a peanut shell, huh?  *grin*  A MFT button with twine completes the card.

WISH BIG

Hey there, did you get a chance to see the inspiration photo for the first Stamping Bella challenge of the year?  It was a really cool party scene so I started thinking...you can't have a party without a cake!  Am I right!?!  LOL!

My Aunt Janice has a birthday coming up, so I thought Uptown Girl Bianca Loves Her Big Cake would be perfect!  I kept the design simple because it will be going in the mail.  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White then colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment was computer generated then cut using a My Favorite Things die.  It doesn't get much easier than this!  *grin*

2014 & NEWS

Hey there, happy 2014 crafty friends!  Did everyone have a great Christmas and New Year's?  I was sick with the flu!  I'm getting better every day, but alas, the cough lingers.  Ugh!  I have some exciting news to share with you though...I was invited to be on the Stamping Bella Design Team!  Whoop!   With that said, here is my first project as a Bella Babe...

I blew the dust off the 'ol brayer to use for the background.  As you can see from the dark line at the top, I could use a little practice.  *snort*  I'm really not sure what happened, but I'm going to say dusk is turning to night and well, it is what it is!  Ha!  Anyway, after the sky was inked, I decided to use Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #200 for the layout.  It's a loose interpretation of the sketch, but if you look closely, all of the elements are there...I did scoot the banner to the right hand side to make room for the Uptown Girl.  The image, Opal the Optimist was stamped with Tuxedo Black, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut then popped up on foam.  My Favorite Things die cut elements complete the card.  I'm also entering this into Little Red Wagon's #218 New Beginnings challenge.  I'm celebrating a new beginning on the Stamping Bella DT and also used a new Uptown Girl stamp.  Love her!

Bellarific Fridays returns next week, January 10, with the first official challenge of the year!  It's all about inspiration next week...use any element or the overall "feeling" you get from the photo to create your project then email it to Em for your chance to win!  Here's your inspiration...I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
