Hey there, I'm always on the look out for good sketch challenges and I just stumbled onto this one at Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT). Woot! I'm using an oldie but a goodie from Our Craft Lounge called Be Jolly. It's one of my all time favorite winter stamp sets from OCL!
I had a litlte time on my hands and thought it might be fun to see exactly how many challenges I could link to...holy crapola...I was able to link to 34 before finally calling it quits. I can't say I've ever linked to so many before (and will probably never try again...LOL)! This project includes the following challenges:

Hey there, how's your day going? I've had a boring day. I didn't have to work but my hubby did. It's been a rainy day which is perfect, guilt free stamping weather...but I just couldn't get into it. I finally decided to pull out a stamp set from Our Craft Lounge called Shout it Out. It's really cute, super easy to color, makes a great Valentine and it's about all I could muster at the moment! LOL! I went with an easel card so there's really not a lot to it. I wish I would have made it a little bigger...but it is what it is.

Hey there, let me start by saying WOWSERS! A big storm hit the Oregon Coast yesterday. This was actually the first time that I can ever remember the news reporting our normal "high winds" being upgraded to a Hurricane 2 type with gusts up to 100 mph. My hubby works at a sawmill and one of the out-buildings used to store lumber had the roof peeled back as if it were a can of sardines! Since there were people in there working at the time, they closed shop and sent everyone home. A lot of businesses closed early and sent staff home to wait out the storm (mine included). So of course, the two of us loaded up and took off for the beach. LOL! We were hoping to see some 25 foot waves but the tide was out so it didn't happen. The waves were still impressive though, and the wind...holy cow...it tossed us around as if we were rag dolls!
So back to the real reason I'm writing this post...Michelle from Memories of Time had texted me the night before letting me know the new 2012 Copics were in the shop. Whoop whoop!!! Michelle is a die-hard and stayed at work until 5pm (MOT isn't her day job). So you know what that means...I had to be patient. The beach took up quite a bit of time but not enough. Tic toc...is Michelle off work yet? D'oh, it's only 3:30pm. *whistling* Is it time? No, no it's only 3:45pm...4:00pm...4:15pm...I can't stand the waiting any more! I went to my friend Cami's, co-owner of Our Craft Lounge, and she gave me some stamps from an older release to work with. She's the best! I can't wait to get them inky and share what I've made. Woohoo, it's time!!! I'd like to tell you that I braved a most impressive storm to be one of the first to get the new Copics...but it had died down by then. It was still gusty, but the high winds were replaced with rain (we got 2 inches during the night). Anyway, I got my markers! Look...aren't they pretty???
If you've been waiting patiently (yep, just like me...LOL!) to pick up the new markers, here's your chance! Michelle has them in her online store right now. The best part...if you use the code "checkusout", you will receive a 20% discount off your entire purchase! I suppose I should go get ready for work now. I just wanted to share this exciting news! I can't wait to play with all the new colors!
Hey there, I was playing with another Our Craft Lounge set called Granny's Truffles. Did you see the little bulge in her cheek? She must really be enjoying the chocolate that Gramps gave her for Valentine's Day! LOL!

You have until January 21 to upload your project for a chance to win a $10 voucher from our sponsor, Di's Digi Downloads.
I just picked up this cool Our Craft Lounge set called Jungle Love and I've been wanting to get it inky. Michelle from Memories of Time is having her first challenge...Be Mine Valentine Bingo and she's offering some awesome prizes! She emailed me a couple days ago and challenged me to a blackout. It was a little tricky and I had my doubts, but I pulled it off! *woot* Check it out...I was able to include glitter (card stock), pearls, Sparkly Fluff, ribbon, a heart, sponging, red, baker's twine AND Glossy Accents (on the lion's nose). Whew...that's a lot! LOL! There's still time if you want to play along. You only need a bingo to participate, but if you can make a blackout...even better! Check out the MOT blog for more details.
Here's the inside...the monkey was masked and the sentiment heart was reverse masked then sponged.
I guess that's it for this one...make sure you stop by and check out the other PIO! DT blogs to see what amazing projects they came up with!
Thanks for stopping by!

I just got this stamp set from Our Craft Lounge called Pat the Bad Dog and it's absolutely perfect for sending birthday wishes! I love it because OCL has three other Pat stamp sets and they coordinate beautifully!

Hey there, check it out...my first Christmas card for 2012! *sigh* Just when I thought I would take a break from Christmas, Our Craft Lounge and Lily Pad Cards are teaming up with a color challenge that screams winter and snowmen! If you want to play along, the colors are navy, light blue and silver. More details can be found at the OCL blog.
I used Be Jolly from OCL to make this card. I'm totally in love with this snowman! He's hoping to impress the ladies with his fancy blue hat and scarf. With a little bit of Stickles, he's good to go! Yep, it worked...I'm impressed! LOL!

Hey there, it's time for another challenge at Pile It On! Since we're still in holiday mode, we wanted to make it nice and easy on you...so Anything Goes!
With Christmas behind us and Valentine's Day right around the corner, I decided to make a card to celebrate St. Valentine. Have you ever admired a stamp set so long that you finally break down and get it? That was me with this one. Our Craft Lounge just came out with a fabulous new Valentine release, and they are all so much fun to work with, but I couldn't help but be drawn to this Wanted set. I really wanted to get it last year, but Valentine's Day came and went and I never got around to picking it up. Not this year though...woohoo...I couldn't wait to ink it up! The barbed wire is something new for me too (a link to the tutorial can be found in the "Supplies/Techniques" section). I've been wanting to try it for a while but didn't have the right stamp set to go with it. The cowboy boots have been "ghosted" onto the background panel. Love it! There is a link below to explain how to do it. The only thing I did different is use Neenah card stock and heat set craft (pigment) ink instead of VersaMark. I suppose I could have gotten a similar effect with VersaMark on colored card stock...but that's not nearly as much fun as getting inky! *snort*
