SWEET TOOTH?

Do you have a sweet tooth this morning?  I wonder what could satisfy that craving.  Hmmm...how about a little candy?  I know where you can get some!  Just visit Heather and see what you need to do to get a little blog candy.  I just did!  Remember, you can't win if you don't play!  Congrats to CraftinGranny for being last week's winner!

HOORAY FOR BIRTHDAYS

My friend's daughter celebrated her 6th birthday yesterday so I made her this card.  Of course she went straight for the gift then was so cute when she said she already knew the card was going to be beautiful because me and her mom always make beautiful cards.  How sweet is that!?!

I used another Dustin Pike image teamed up with a Create with TLC sentiment.  Spellbinders dies were used and the image was colored with Copic markers.  What little girl doesn't like a little fluff and sparkle?  The pink on the wings is OCL's Cotton Candy Pink Sparkly Fluff and the antenna has OCL's Punk Purple Crafty Sparkles.  The CS is Neenah Solar White, SU Certainly Celery and the DP is actually from DCWV's Baby Boy pack (go figure, huh?).  I used some SU Pretty in Pink to sponge around the edges and finished with a couple Bazzill brads in the corner and a tiny ribbon knot below the sentiment.

Copic coloring:

HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL!

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.netVERY long post this morning (sorry)!  I had a hard time deciding on which image I wanted to use for Dustin Pike's Falling for Colors challenge...so I picked six!  They were so much fun to color!  This particular challenge had us using a DDS image plus brown, red and orange.  I love, love, LOVE everything fall!  The challenge runs through October 2nd so you still have plenty of time to play along!

Each of the cards have the same layout and all of the fabulous fall sentiments are from Create with TLC.  They all used very similar Copic colors.  The sentiments were cut out using a Spellbinders die, sponged with SU Early Espresso and are popped up on SU Dimensionals and attached to the ribbon with twine. The CS is Neenah Solar White, SU Early Espresso and the DP is Apple Cider and Cinnamon Sticks from Imaginisce.  The ribbon and brads are from JoAnn's.  I just need to make a box and these will make an awesome gift pack!

WITH HEARTFELT SYMPATY

So...I found myself needing a quick and easy sympathy card and no matter what I tried this morning, nothing seemed to work for me.  I finally grabbed my SU Elements of Style set and inked it up.  I would have liked to have used a little color on it but alas, no time.

I used two stamps in the set...one for the base panel and the other for the top.  The sentiment is computer generated and the bow is wired ribbon I bought at Costco (you know...the rolls where you get a million yards for $10).  Gotta love it!

Thanks for stopping by!

THINKING OF YOU

SmileyHey there, does everyone have their sunglasses handy?  You might want to grab them for this one!    OK, but I warned you.  *wink*

I felt the need to do a little sponging and this is what I came up with.  Love the butterflies...not so sure about the in-your-face, bright yellow.  I took it to work with me and set it on my desk to help me decide if I like it or not (I know, I'm weird!).  I decided that I like it, yellow and all.  It's a nice fall color, right?  (still trying to reassure myself...yikes!)

When my co-worker saw it she had to have it.  Her friend recently lost her 40ish year-old daughter to Breast Cancer and she wants to send her a card.  As someone who recently lost a parent, my heart goes out to the family.

The butterflies are from C.C. Designs and were stamped with Ranger Black Soot on Neenah Solar White.  They were colored with Copic markers (see below), cut out and set aside.

Next I used the leaves and grass stamps from Gina K's Hang in There set.  The leaves were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with clear embossing powder and the grass was inked with VersaMark and SU Barely Banana then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I sponged Barely Banana on the center of the panel.  SU So Saffron was sponged next on the outside working my way towards the center not covering all of the Barely Banana.  SU Summer Sun was sponged last around the outside working my way toward the inside not covering all of the So Saffron.  I used a paper towel to lightly wipe the ink from the embossed areas.

The sentiment is also C.C. Designs and was stamped with Ranger Soot Black in the corner leaving space for the brads which are Bazzill.  SU Dimensionals were used to pop up all of the butterflies.

Another of the butterflies in the set was stamped on the inside panel and colored with Copic markers.  Everything was layered (inside and out) to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by!
