SNEAK PEEK - HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Hey there stampers, it's day two of Our Craft Lounge's Sneak Peeks.  How about the designer's projects from yesterday...weren't they awesome!?!  If you weren't able to join us, it isn't too late to go back and leave comments.  With every comment you leave Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on the designer's blogs and over at The Lounge, you will be entered for a chance to win blog candy!  If you "like" OCL on Facebook, you will get an extra entry, but you need to make sure you let them know you did it.  Now let's get busy and talk paper crafting...yesterday's post focused on Halloween but today it's all about Christmas, baby!

For this card, I'm using this cool single called Vintage Ornaments. I totally love it!  The image was stamped on white card stock with black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I couldn't get the color I was looking for when I was coloring the ribbon so I mixed and matched some BGs with B95 and B91 and it was just what it needed to tone the color down.

I also don't usually push highlights with a Colorless Blender, but it seemed like the thing to do to get the shiny spots on the ornaments.  The image and sentiment (seriously LOVE that script!) were sponged then layered on black card stock with some new BasicGrey designer paper.  Twine was wrapped around the panel and the sentiment was popped up.  Rhinestones complete the card.

Copic coloring:

Ornaments:  YG17, YG13, YG11, R29, R27, R24, R22, Y28, Y26, Y23, 0  Ribbon:  BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10, B95, B91  Beads:  B000, C3  Shadow:  B63, T2, T1, T0  Holly and berries:  YG17, YG13, YG11, R24

This next project is a tag that uses two more of the singles:  Frosty Flakes and Mr. Frosty.  Who can resist a cute little snowman???  Not me, that's for sure!  I cut the Nestie ornament out and with the die still in place, stamped Mr. Frosty (I wanted to leave the white embossed border free of ink).  I stamped another snowman on a sticky note and cut out a quick mask.  The snowflakes stamp from Frosty Flakes was used to create the snow in the background.  The snowman and snowflakes were colored with Copic markers before the sky was sponged.  I knew it could be done but have never colored on ribbon myself...until this project anyway.  Easy peasy!  I'll definitely do it again to get perfectly matched ribbon for my project!
Three snowflakes were cut then layered and attached with a brad in the center.  Lastly, twine was tied to the top of the tag and Stickles were applied to the big snowflake and snowman.
