BABY SHOWER DIAPER BAG

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.netGood morning, here are the pics for the project that I worked on over the weekend.  I made a diaper bag for a friend's baby shower.  At least that's what it is supposed to be.  I'm not sure if it resembles a diaper bag or not...but it sure makes one heck of a cute little gift bag.  I got the idea from Lorri's SCS gallery.  She said she saw it in another gallery but neither of them posted directions so we just had to wing it.

I started with the Sizzix Baby Bottle die (I've had it for a while but hadn't had an opportunity to use it...I'm glad I got it because it's awesome!) then borrowed another friend's Inkadinkado giraffe stamp.  Everything was colored with copic markers (see below) then layered on the card.

Look at that cute stuffed toy I found.  Can you tell I had a giraffe theme going on?  It didn't really start out that way but it's definitely how it ended up!  I know it doesn't look like it, but the bag is big enough to hold a blanket, stuffed toy and a 3-piece outfit (onsie, pants with little feet and a matching bib).  Would you be surprised if I told you the outfit even has giraffes on it?  Ha!  It does!

The card fits into the little pocket on the front of the bag.  The paper is Animal Stackers Zoo Animals, Building Blocks and All-aboard.  I used my SU Mat Pack and paper piercer to poke holes around the edges and used a white gel pen to do faux stitching.  I used brads to hold the side pieces on and Zots for the buttons.

I didn't include the template for the bag in this post but if you would like it, please leave me a comment.  If enough people are interested, I'll come up with a template/tutorial and post it.

Thanks for looking!

Tam
