Hey there, I haven't really been in a crafty sort of mood lately. That and we've been helping our buddy paint his rental...fun stuff, huh? His daughter is having a birthday this weekend so I took a break to make her this card.
I used the Slow and Steady set from Our Craft Lounge. This is one of my favorite birthday stamp sets because the turtle and bugs are too stinking cute! The layout is from iSpy Sketches...I just found them via my friend's blog. Thanks, Gale!

Hey there, I'm back with another challenge card for Pile It On! This week's theme is Heartfelt Thanks and our sponsor is Stampotique Originals. The winner of this challenge will receive a $30 gift certificate to their store. I broke out a handful of Our Craft Lounge stamps for this card...Notes of Love, Every Heartbeat, Love in the Air and Spilling Over. Gotta love how you can combine sets like that!

Hey there, my hubby's buddy is having a birthday next week so I wanted to make him a special card. We call him the "Little Guy" or sometimes "Gilligan" (get it...Skipper's little buddy?). Please don't think we're picking on him because of his size (he isn't even that short...just shorter than the others). All the guys have nicknames..."Big Guy" and "Wood Shed Jeff" (maybe I'll tell you about those another day LOL!). Dave is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor and OMGosh...he's a HUGE Oregon Duck fan (just like my hubby)! I knew #1 Sports Fan from Our Craft Lounge would be perfect for him!
In order to customize Gramps, blue painter's tape was used to mask the #1 on his shirt before stamping. I printed the Oregon "O" from the Duck website then used the light box a friend recently gave me to trace it. This was my first time using a light box and I loved it! I also drew in the rest of the "O" on his hat. A Copic Multiliner was used to trace over the pencil before it was erased and violรก...Gramps was ready to color! For added depth, Gramp's chair was paper pieced then shaded with Copic markers and for dimension, he was stamped twice and his legs/feet and hand/can was popped up. Guy cards can be tough and this stamp makes it easy peasy to customize a card for any sports fan using their favorite team! Gotta love that, right? I have a feeling I'll be making several more Oregon Gramps cards before I'm done! *grin*
